Program 01

Know and Understand Player Identity

Overview

Every Plan Starts With the Truth About Your Game.

Before a single drill is assigned, every Ridgeline player completes a two-part identity assessment. On the pitch we measure first touch, dribbling speed, passing accuracy, weak-foot reliability and 1v1 effectiveness. Off the pitch we profile decision-making style, confidence patterns and learning preferences.

The result is a clear, honest picture of who the player is today — strengths to weaponize, gaps to close and the playing identity to build toward, whether that is a ball-playing defender, a pressing forward or a tempo-setting midfielder.

What's included

  • 90-minute technical testing battery (12 drills)
  • Character and learning-style profile with our psychologist
  • Written identity report with playing-position recommendation
  • 45-minute parent review meeting with the assessment coach
  • Re-testing every six months to track identity growth
Process

How the Assessment Works

STEP 1

Pitch testing

Twelve standardized drills filmed from two angles, scored against academy benchmarks for the player's age.

STEP 2

Profile session

A guided conversation and questionnaire that map motivation, pressure response and learning style.

STEP 3

Identity report

A written report naming the player's archetype, best position and three priority development targets.

Who it's for

New Players Aged 7 to 18.

Identity assessment is the mandatory first step for every player joining Ridgeline, from under-8 beginners to under-19 scholars. It guarantees each athlete lands in the right group, with the right coach, working on the right things from day one.
